Diversity Programs and Initiatives
Inclusive Excellence Certificate
The IE Certificate focuses on providing the foundational components of diversity, equity and inclusion through four two-hour workshops. In this thoughtful and empowering program, participants examine several aspects of diversity and inclusion;
Recognizing Excellence in Diversity
The annual Recognizing Excellence in Diversity (RED) Event honors faculty, staff, colleges, students and student organizations' contributions in the areas of equity, diversity and inclusion.
Inclusive Excellence Summer Intensive - May 11, 2023
The Inclusive Excellence Summer Intensive program (a shortened version of our Inclusive Excellence Certification program) is a chance to refresh and strengthen your foundational diversity, equity, and inclusion skills with other NC State employees.
Building Future Faculty Program
The NC State Building Future Faculty (BFF) Program is a two-and-half day all-expenses paid workshop for doctoral students and post-doctoral scholars who are interested in pursuing academic careers and who are committed to promoting diversity in higher education.
Intercultural Development Inventory
The Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) is the premier cross-cultural assessment of intercultural competence that is used by thousands of individuals and organizations to build intercultural competence to achieve international and domestic diversity and inclusion goals and outcomes.
Faculty Fellows Program
OIED’s Faculty Fellows program serves to recognize and cultivate the instrumental relationships that faculty members have with students and the university community, a relationship that has the ability to further foster a sense of belonging and cultivate inclusive environments at NC State University.
