Recognizing Excellence in Diversity
NC State recognizes excellence in diversity, equity and inclusion each academic year.
The Recognizing Excellence in Diversity (RED) Event, Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards and DEI Awards recognize outstanding faculty, staff, colleges, students and student organizations that have made exceptional efforts and contributions in the areas of equity, diversity and inclusion.
Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards
Individuals, colleges/divisions and student organizations may self-nominate. OIED staff and other university employees whose key job responsibilities connect with equity, diversity and inclusion are not eligible for these awards.
Nominations for the 2023 Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards are now closed.
DEI Awards (new in 2023!)
In addition to the CCC Awards, the inaugural DEI Awards will also be presented at this year’s RED Event. DEI awards are sponsored by the OIED Diversity Equity Fund and recognize the outstanding efforts of NC State Employees whose job descriptions include DEI work. Read our FAQs about this new award.
