Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards

NC State recognizes excellence in diversity, equity and inclusion each academic year.

Chancellor's Creating Community Awards

The Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity will host the annual Recognizing Excellence in Diversity (RED) Event, presenting the Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards in six categories on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. The awards recognize outstanding faculty, staff, colleges, students, student organizations and alumni that have made exceptional efforts and contributions in the areas of equity, diversity and inclusion during the course of the academic year. Individuals, colleges/divisions and student organizations may self-nominate.

OIED staff and other university employees whose key job responsibilities connect with equity, diversity and inclusion are not eligible for these awards. Instead, consider nominating DEI professionals for the DEI Awards, sponsored by OIED’s Diversity Equity Fund.

Nominations for the 2024 Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards are now closed.
