Trans flag waving on a sunny day

Trans Day of Visibility

Transgender Day of Visibility happens annually on March 31st, and was founded in 2009 by LMSW and activist Rachel Crandall-Crocker (she, her).  Crandall-Crocker is quoted as saying “I wanted a day that we can celebrate the living, and I wanted a day that all over the world we could be all together.” This event is dedicated to raising awareness of transgender, genderqueer, non-binary, gender questioning, agender, and all gender-expansive people’s resilience, passions, and contributions to the world.
