Cultural Competencies Webinar Open to All

The Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity will host a a webinar viewing of "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Deepen the Cultural Competencies of Your Faculty and Staff" and subsequent dialogue. The viewing will take place on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 pm in Witherspoon Student Center, Room 126 (the Washington Sankofa Room).

Physics Students Think and Do

When inappropriate messages were posted on a social media network last fall, physics students Austyn Long and Elliott Holliday, both juniors, turned their thoughts into action. Dr. Sharonda LeBlanc, a post-doc at UNC Chapel Hill in chemistry and physics and co-chair of the NC Women of Color Research Network regional chapter, joined them.
