Show Your Wolfpack Pride!

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Alliance (GLBTCA) at NC State will be selling t-shirts for $15 as a fundraiser for their student organization. Below is a mock-up of the t-shirt design. (Actual shirts will be NC State brand compliant.). Faculty and staff who would like to order a shirt can do so by filling out the online form. Destiny McNeill is a senior majoring in Communication with a concentration in Interpersonal Communication, most recently from Fayetteville, NC. McNeill made local history becoming the first black Cinderella in the Raleigh Little Theatre's recent production.

Freshman Honors Convocation Highlights Academic Excellence

Each Spring, Multicultural Student Affairs hosts Freshman Honors Convocation, a ceremony that recognizes the collective and individual achievements of our multicultural students. Any African American, Native American, or Latino first-year student receiving a GPA of a 3.0 or higher is honored.

Campus Diversity Dialogue to Feature Film and Discussion on February 29

Each semester, the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity hosts a campus dialogue on diversity. The fall dialogue is hosted during the university’s annual Diversity Education Week. These events serve to promote awareness and understanding of our nation and world’s diverse cultures and foster intercultural understanding through a collection of engaging opportunities. All dialogues are open to all students, faculty and staff.

Joelle Jacobs, Social Work

Joelle Jacobs will be graduating in May with her Bachelor's degree in social work. Her path to this point has been anything but ordinary. Currently an intern in the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity, Joelle also helped start the BackTrackers student organization on campus.

New Art Gallery Exhibit: "The Soul of Philanthropy" Celebrates Giving

The African American Cultural Center has opened a new art exhibit titled, "The Soul of Philanthropy." The multimedia exhibit features photography, stories, light, movement and interactivity. With the 2011 book Giving Back: A Tribute to Generations of African American Philanthropists as its basis, the exhibit is the work of author and speaker Valaida Fullwood and photographer Charles Thomas.
