Blacks in Wax: Call for Volunteers and Performers for February Event

The African American Cultural Center will present its annual Blacks in Wax Live Museum on Feb. 11, 2022. The event allows the past to come to life with key moments in Black history. Tour the Witherspoon Student Center as the members of the NC State community portray notable historic figures from African American, Caribbean and African history.

We invite you to consider two opportunities to engage in this event: as an actors/performer or as a volunteer.

If you desire to participate in representing a character, please fill out a brief online form that lets us know who you will be representing. There will be at least one mandatory rehearsal (character meeting) that will be announced in an email once the participant list solidified.

You can sign up to participate as an historical figure. character assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis if you see your first choice character has already been taken please consider another choice.
