GLBT Center Offers “Creating Accomplices: Supporting Queer and Transgender Students of Color”

Queer and transgender students of color face barriers and obstacles that are often left out of the narrative of GLBT lived experiences. Join the GLBT Center as we unpack the systemic oppression that impacts and complicates the experiences of people when race and ethnicity intersect with gender and sexuality. Open to all NC State undergraduates, graduate students, staff, faculty and community members, this three-hour workshop will provide ways that you can be move beyond being an ally for the queer and transgender community of color to being an accomplice. Creating Accomplices: Supporting Queer and Transgender Students of Color will be held on October 11, 2017 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Talley 3222.
