The NC State Women’s Center will host the opening reception for #PoliticsofBlackHair on February 13, 2018 from 7:00-9:30 p.m. in the African American Cultural Center Art Gallery in Witherspoon Student Center.

This exhibition, curated by the Women’s Center, features NC State faculty, staff and students and their experiences with navigating the politics of Black hair. By sharing their stories through art, participants reclaim the power and beauty of their narratives and authentic expression.
