African American Cultural Center Presents John Coltrane Documentary

The African American Cultural Center will screen Chasing Trane: The John Coltrane Documentary, on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Hunt Library Auditorium. The film explores the life and work of legendary jazz musician and North Carolinian John Coltrane. Written and directed by critically-acclaimed documentary filmmaker John Scheinfeld, the film is produced with the full participation of the Coltrane family and the support of the record labels that collectively own the Coltrane catalog. This event is presented jointly by NCSU Libraries, the African American Cultural Center and the non-profit service organization Black Jedi Zulu. NC State’s Department of Music will provide live jazz before the showing.
