The Women’s Center will sponsor a Women of Color Retreat on November 10-11, 2017, which will serve to create a community focused on finding meaning, healing, support, trust and to reach actualization by focusing on the inner parts of the self. The retreat is an overnight experience that will include a variety of sessions and speakers focused on the goals of education/awareness, skill-building, leadership, community, healing and power. Participants will celebrate their individuality and commonalities through interactive, intentional and thought-provoking engagement, taking the time for critical self-reflection and exploration of identity. Guest speakers include Chimi Boyd-Keyes and Dr. Natalie Bullock Brown. Registration requires a $25 refundable fee and will be open from August 23 – September 30, 2017.
