NC State’s NCBI campus affiliate is made up of students, faculty and staff from various disciplines who provide a powerful leadership resource for the campus, facilitating two workshop models designed to celebrate similarities and differences, identify and heal from internalized oppression and provide skills to handle controversial issues. In addition, NCBI serves as a resource on campus to address bias-related crises, controversy and community issues. The team is currently recruiting new members to perform this critical work on our campus. The next interest meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the Jordan Hall Addition, Room 1214. For more information, please visit the NCBI website or contact the campus affiliate director, Beverly Jones Williams.
Erin Morant is program coordinator in the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity.
