The GLBT Center invites interested participants to register for the upcoming Project SAFE and Trans* 101 workshops. All workshops are free and open to faculty, staff, students and community members. Registration is required.

Project SAFE is a three-hour workshop open to NC State undergraduates, graduate students, staff, faculty and alumni as well as interested members of the local community. The training program is designed to prepare participants to understand and address the needs of GLBT students. The curriculum addresses a wide range of information, including identifying terms, issues that GLBT students often deal with during the coming out process, concerns that GLBT students face, ways that allies can create inclusive environments, where allies can refer students who need to report harassment and the on- and off-campus resources available to students. See the website for Project SAFE workshop times or to register.

Trans* 101 is a two-hour workshop designed to introduce participants to the spectrum of transgender, gender-nonconforming and gender-questioning identities and expressions. This workshop addresses common issues faced by trans* students and strategies campus community members can use to be trans* inclusive. See the website for Trans* 101 workshop times or to register.
