Brown Bag Speaker Series: The Language of Climate Justice

As the effects of the climate crisis become increasingly apparent, social science researchers across disciplines are coming together to investigate how the discourse on climate change shapes attitudes and actions. In this presentation, Julia Fine, a graduate student in linguistics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, will provide an overview of existing research on climate change communication with an eye to how sociolinguists can contribute to this work.
