NC State LIVE Presents a Happy Hour With Ephrat Asherie Dance

Join NC State LIVE for a happy hour event we’re calling Choreographers With Cocktails & Mocktails. In this relaxed setting, we’ll have a watch party and delve into the creative process with artistic director Ephrat Asherie and her brother, collaborator and jazz pianist Ehud Asherie.
Together we’ll watch clips and discuss their latest collaboration: Odeon. Odeon is set to the music of Brazilian composer Ernesto Nazareth, known for mixing early 20th century romantic music with samba and other popular Afro-Brazilian rhythms. Ephrat Asherie responds to this music with her signature blend of social dance styles: breaking, hip hop, house and vogue.
