Social Movements, Social Change Workshop on October 29

How does the past inform our present? This workshop on October 29, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in Talley Student Union, Room 4280, introduces participants to the social construction of narratives around privilege, power, oppression and liberation. Using past and present examples of policy, practices and resistance, participants will assess their individual approach and contribution to social movements now and in the future. This two-hour workshop is open to NC State undergraduates, graduate students, staff, faculty and alumni as well as interested members of the local community.
