In celebration of the birth of Audre Lorde on February 18, 1934, participants of a new group will be provided with select works of Audre Lorde and engage in a critical examination of themselves and the macro levels of oppression of their intersectional experiences.
“As we come more into touch with our own ancient, non-European consciousness of living as a situation to be experienced and interacted with, we learn more and more to cherish our feelings, and to respect those hidden sources of our power from where true knowledge and, therefore, lasting action comes.”
The group will model sister circle methodology, therefore, space is limited and pre-registration is required. Participants are advised to sign up early for one day or all week from February 19-23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Participants will be emailed all readings and the schedule for the week after signing up.
