This year's class included student O'Licia Parker-Smith, who reflects on how she benefited from this special program, which is directed by Dr. C. Ellen Washington of the NC State Women's Center. The program will welcome its new class in January.

Transgender Awareness Week: Stand with Us

The GLBT Center will be hosting Transgender Awareness Week from November 16-20, 2015. This program will include a series of events that increase understanding about transgender identities and issues, shed light on the need for transgender-specific services and start a dialog about the role of our cultural values in perpetuating anti-transgender attitudes. Throughout the week, the GLBT Center will display a memorial to the transgender lives that have been lost to murder or suicide in the past year. Please consider visiting as we honor the lives cut short.

Reflections from the Fall ASB Civil Rights Trip to Atlanta and Greensboro

Sometimes a few days can impact lives more than weeks spent in a classroom. That's the idea behind the Alternate Service Break trips sponsored by several NC State organizations. Three students who traveled to Atlanta and Greensboro with the Women's Center and Multicultural Student Affairs over fall break allowed the Digest to publish some of their reflections on their experiences.
